If you are an everyday air fryer user like me, you gotta agree that it is one of the easiest and delicious ways to eat lots of vegetables without actually spending a lot of time cooking them. Air fryer bell peppers are one of those many awesome vegetable side dishes that you can make using your air fryer.
It is as simple as cutting, seasoning, loading in the air fryer, and forgetting about them until they are ready to devour. Why heat up the big oven or stand near the stove to roast the peppers when you can simply air fry them without babysitting.
Feel free to use the button at the top of the page to go to the recipe directly or the table of contents below to go to any section of the page you want. The recipe card has all the information that is needed to make the recipe perfectly. However, I try to provide as much useful information in the post for the readers who are looking for it.
Ingredients
It is important to talk about ingredients for this recipe as it literally doesn't need many ingredients other than
- little oil - any oil with high smoke point will work like avocado oil or coconut oil.
- salt & pepper
- Taco seasoning
Of course, you will still need bell peppers 😉 though. Check recipe card for quantities.
How to make
Let's see how to make air fryer bell peppers in a jiffy.
- Start by washing and chopping the bell peppers. Don't forget to dry them before chopping using a clean cloth or paper napkins. Now Cut them in half, deseed them and then cut them into either long or short strips or cubes, however you prefer. Remember your air frying time will slightly vary based on what size you cut them.
- Now take the chopped bell peppers into a bowl and toss them with oil, salt, pepper and taco seasoning.
- Load the seasoned bell peppers into your air fryer making sure not to crowd them. It is very important to leave space between pieces for the air frying feature to actually work.
- Now air fry them at 390F for 10 to 12 minutes. It took me two batches to roast 3 peppers. No need to shake the basket halfway through if you arranged them with enough spaces initially. You can even go a little longer if you want the char grilled effect. Voila !! Your perfectly done airfryer roasted peppers are ready to eat in no time.
Important TIP
I prefer not using oil sprays in the air fryer as they damage the non-stick coating of your air fryer's inner surface. Instead, I just toss the ingredients in little oil before putting them in the air fryer. If you need to oil them again in the middle of air frying for any recipe, just use a basting brush to apply oil.

Now as you may have known, there are tons of ways to use these air fryer bell peppers. I will try to list some of those ideas here. Let me know what is your favorite way of eating roasted bell peppers in the comment section below.

Storing
These air fryer roasted bell peppers can be stored in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days. Just reheat them in the air fryer or in the microwave on low power when you want to eat.
You can also eat them cold like me if you like them. But frankly they never last more than 5 minutes in our home. It is hard to stop eating them once you take your first bite.
